Yamaha was founded by Torakusu Yamaha. They make products for a large range of sectors. The most popualr being their motorcycles. Some of their other areas includes pianos, portable keyboards, digital pianos, electronic organs, synthesizers, guitars, drum kits, percussion instruments, sound chips, digital mixers, speakers, music disc recorders and Hi-Fi audio equipment.
In 1986, Yamaha unveiled a revolutionary new product to the UK. It was the first of its kind and used a new concept in sound reproduction: Digital Sound Field processing. That product was the DSP-1 and it's where the Yamaha Electronics UK story begins. Yamaha hi-fi products had been available in the UK via separate distributors since 1975.

Yamaha DVD-S510 DVD Player
The first thing i noticed with this dvd player was the picture quality,
it played almost everything thrown at it, even my challenging dvd's
like Constantine. My last player has trouble with the blacks in some
of the scenes, and really showed up it's flaws. Although it preforms
well, I've recently suffered from some reliability issues. After a year
of ownership it started making odd sounds and then would eject dvd's
for no apparant reason. For the high price it costs (comparatively)
and for it to start and then totally break down within 18 months, it's
very disappointing. While everything looked fine to start with, I want
a dvd player to last longer than this.
