Video cards are needed by a personal computer to display graphics on a monitor. Video cards process information from software applications so that the monitor can understand what to display. A basic video card will only process 2D data but with the advances in video card technology many cards are now 2D/3D combo cards that are needed to play the latest computer games properly. GeForce FX 5200 Video Card, 8x AGP, 128MB DDR Graphics Card

I am unsure of the manufacturer of my GeForce FX 5200 Video Card, 8x AGP, 128MB DDR card because it came pre-packaged with my Dell computer. For some reason they do not give you information such as that. Well this card really is a treat, and there is currently no modern game on the market that it hasn't been able to play comfortably. And yes this does include monster modern games like Doom3 and Half life 2. Of course for these games I did decide to upgrade my system and add some punch. Therefore i replaced my old processor with an AMD 64 3000+. And boy did I see a difference with what this card could do. It hasn't given any trouble, well to be honest no card ever has. I bet this is really cheap now, so a good buy.
