This site popped up when hunting down a bargain for my new
plasma television, when it comes to buying big items I think
you can save large amounts of cash by search engines like
pricerunner.co.uk. Before they existed I would just have popped
down to my local Currys, but when you compare prices you can
save easily over £200 on £2000 plus items. When
trying a few different engines to find the best prices TribalUK
popped up just about top on a couple of times. What specially
sold me with this retailer was the 12 month interest free
period offer. Logging onto the site was simply enough, with
2gb broadband connection it loading time was quick and the
site was basic but attractive. A nice feature of the home
page is that it provides you all the top offers, best selling
top ten items and a star buy to boot. Downside is crowded
text, and also the size of most of the text is way too small
for my eyes. Gaining the interest free option was simple,
there was only a little delay while all the credit information
was sent to and fro between the various parties. The big disappointment
was the 3 and half week wait for the television. It appears
TribalUK never had it in stock and were ordering from the
manufacturer. Overall I was willing to accept the wait to
save over £200, but TribalUK in no way advertised this
delay which was pretty shoddy of them.

Suffered the same delivery issues as phil in the previous
post, and canceled my order with Tribal UK after a eight week
wait. Fact is the website stated a week long wait, and due
to the poor information provided on their website I feel mislead.
Just like Phil I find them in price compare engines, they
came up a lot via kelkoo in terms of the best price offered
& other good features like standard delivery is free.
Plus before my item had been dispatched they took the money
out of my bank account, so basically I only found the real
truth once they had my money, over two months of visiting
my local launderette was tiring. Their customer services were
helpful to be fair, they always kept me in the loop regarding
delays. And when I asked to cancel there was no problem, I
was soon debited with the cash. They have also updated their
website with the real delivery time, so at least they are
being transparent now. I think the main problem is their website
not being updated with accurate delivery time information,
apart from this I would recommend them as long as you don't
want the item urgently.
