| Founded by Elihu Thomson (1853-1937), the man who realized more than 100 years ago that taking innovation to the marketplace relied on end-to-end mastery of the entire industrial system. An American scientist and inventor of the electric traction machine, he founded the Thomson-Houston Electric Company. In 2001 Tomson announced that NEC and Thomson multimedia announce their intention to combine their multimedia plasma display businesses in a 50/50 joint venture. | ||||||||||||||

The product Thomson Compact Disc Micro System is very good for the price. Rating 5. But I have a faulty Remote sensor control. Could anyone tell me if Thomson have a spare part dept in the UK. Nice and cheap hifi stereo and useful for young children. I hadn't heard of Thomson before but they seem to be sold at most of the main electrical chain stores so I thought they must be quite good. I basically need a hifi stero for my young childrens play area, so didn't want anything which if it got broke I would have lost lots of money on. The power output is 2 x 15 Watts which results in good sound quality and with a FM/MW/LW RDS tuner with radio station pre-sets it easy for the kids to tune into Radio 1.
