Star Wars was first released in 1977 by 20th Century Fox. The Star Wars series were directed by George Lucas and the main actors on the three original films were Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Alec Guinness. Star Wars ' A new Hope' the first film and 'the Empire Strikes Back' the second are seen as the superior films in the series by both fans and critics. Time magazine wrote this about Star Wars 'A New Hope' , "A subliminal history of movies, wrapped in a riverting tale of suspense and adventure, ornamented with some of the most ingenious special effects ever contrived for a film. Three new films have now been added to original trilogy. The three new films are Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999), Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002) and Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005). The three new films are based around Anakin Skywalker's morth into Darth Vader. Includes cast and crew such as;
