Salter 1001 Glass Kitchen Scale

We received this kitchen weighing scale for a wedding present, the first thing you notice is how nice it looks and how incredibly accurate it is. It is a little expensive, but with a guarantee for 10 years you should get value for money. Our problem is the scale has started showing "----" on the small electronic LCD display. This means it's going back to Salter for repair, but as a wedding present we do not possess the receipt; we are just hoping they'll honour their guarantee.
