Ralph Lauren was born Ralph Lipschitz in October 14th, 1939 in the district of the Bronx, New York. Ralph decided to change his last name from Lipschitz to Lauren. This was a denial of his Jewish heritage, but Ralph considered it necessary for success in 1950's New York. He is famous for having started the company with 26 boxes of ties in 1967, when he purchased the Polo label from Brooks. In the mid 1990s, Ralph Lauren floated his company on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol RL. Ralph Lauren has just celebrated the 35th anniversary of a now $10 billion global business in 2003. The company now produces designer menswear, womenswear, childrenswear, home collections and fragrances in 2002. The media has honored Ralph Lauren with cover stories in magzines such as,

Ralph Lauren Polo

The thing i like most is how it lasts a long time and you never need more than 2 sprays, unless you want to kill all life within a 5 metre radius. Therefore it can be overpowering if you make the mistake of spraying too much on. But on general note it's a nice fragrance, that's very distinctive and has a certain class about it. I love the design of the bottle as well.

Ralph Lauren is a fashion designer from New York, USA and makes some of the most popular designer clothes and clothing for the sport of polo. Polo is an upper class / rich man's sport played on horses with sticks similar to hockey sticks. Polo could be likened to hockey on horses, and Ralph Lauren is probably the most famous maker of polo clothes.

Ralph Lauren has recently opened a flagship store on Mulberry Street in New York 2002. The store brings the revitalized line of rugged and timeless Ralph Lauren clothes, inspired by an eclectic series of vintage pieces, to fashionable Soho. Ralph Lauren in recent years has become alot more mainstream and popular, with the price of clothes and polo clothes becoming a lot lower from discount stores.
