I had a breakdown on the M5 and the RAC came after around 50 minutes, as this was about 6 o'clock on a friday evening in March I was quite impressed. I mean all the adverts for these breakdown services say they will come within the hour, but up until now I never really believed them. They were like the delivery man in my opinion, always late and not on time. Luckily I got free RAC roadside breakdown cover with my insurance policy so I am not really sure about the prices and whether they are competitve or not. But from my personal experience they were on time, the engineer was very friendly for rush hour friday evening and sorted the problem with my car within twenty minutes. Recommended.
