Pushchairs are an item every mother needs. The range of baby / child pushchairs on the market vary for the age group targeted such as babies from birth, 6 months old, 1 - 2 year olds and 3 years plus for example. The different types of baby / child pushchairs usually include features like;

  • swivel wheels
  • shopping basket
  • folding mechanism
  • fabric hoods and raincover's

Obviously the most important factors when buying a pushchair are to make sure it's easy to fold up, easy to push and that the wheels work properly. Probably the most important thing is that the pushchair is tough and will last.

Maclaren Quest Buggy

I have bought a Maclaren buggy / buggie and I found that the brakes didn't work. After this I contacted maclaren to state that brakes didn't work on the buggy and they will not do anything about it as it was over 6 months old when it happened. I think it is poor that Maclaren only give money back and expect their buggy to last 6 months, I personally know of friends who have other makes of buggy which have lasted for generations, let alone months. I will therefore be using your site to buy a buggy which isn't made by Maclaren.

Maclaren Techno XT Pushchair

I purchased the MacLaren after reading a great number of reviews stating how amazing it was. I bought one from Mothercare for £150 and expected great things. Within days the wheels were locking when I went over uneven surfaces, such as pavements and we returned it assuming we had
purchased a faulty one. The second one from Mothercare showed great promise but this time after a week the same happened. We returned that one assuming Mothercare had a bad batch and optimistically bought one from John Lewis. Again to our great disappointment the same thing
happened. I can't believe that we are the only people who have experienced this. Although I have no complaints about any other part of the buggy, due to the price I think the problem is terrible. I was told by John Lewis that this was a problem that occurred when they were first bought out.
