Orange launched in April 1994 into the UK mobile communications market with a simple vision. Orange will always be famous for their unique adverts which launched Orange with a clockwork type design. A vision for a brighter future, where people can communicate wherever, whenever and however they wish. Orange were officially the UK's number one operator in terms of active customer numbers as of 25 July 2001.
Ever since their ground breaking advertising release in the mid to late 1990's Orange have been one of the top 4 mobile phone networks in the UK. Currently Orange have strong competition from networks such as Vodafone.
Whilst the Orange network was founded by a UK company, Hutchison Telecom. It was bought by France Telecom in 2000, and is now operates the mobile network for France Telecom. Wanadoo, the French broadband provider owned by France Telecom was replaced by Orange broadband in 2006.

Orange Panasonic GD87
Orange mobile with 120 anytime anywhere calls per month at £89.99. The phone is basic but I did not require a camera, wap access or anything fancy like that. I only need the phone to talk to people on in emergencies and in this respect it's fine. The only problem I find with buying over the web is the waiting for delivery and being at home for the delivery, so I was glad the deal had free next day delivery.
