Opodo was created a selection of major European airlines. To name a few, British Airways from the UK, Air France from France, Iberia from Spain, KLM from Holland and Lufthansa from Germany.The aim of the website was to provide scheduledflights direct to the consumer. Alongside packaging other travel products to the flights.
As a pan-European company, the Opodo site trades in thirteen countries. All the major nations like Italy and Austria, alongside smaller nations such as Switzerland. The Opodo site was first launched in Germany (2001), and then in Britain and France (2002) and by 2006 in the rest of it's thirteen hubs.
Why the name 'Opodo', because it hasn't a specific meaning in any language
from Europe.

An elegant site which is ruined by banners on the top menu and side menu. It makes for a cluttered design. I've used the site three times now to book flights, and as they seem to work with most of the major airlines they have a very wide selection. This usually means I can always find the flight i need, but I am not sure whether it's the cheapest. The search is also useful, but like with most sites I find it easier to browse through the links menu. The first time I used the site I wanted to change flights, which was quickly changed. Apart from the banners, the site is well structured and the main sections are not cluttered. Ideal if your looking for a good airline at an affordable rate.
