I've had four people cold calling on my door step, promising
huge saving when I transfer my electricity and gas bills to
Npower. Each time I've never had a coherent explanation of
all the costs and the responses from the sales person to my
question are far from clear. I asked for some further information
to be sent in the post. The salesman told me to sign a form
to receive this leaflet, as I read the form it was a was an
agreement to use Npower, not a request for information. I
have no idea about their product, but their sales tactics
stinks.

My experience with npower and their customer services began
around 3 years ago when I moved into my current home
Well to begin with I signed up with the dual fuel deal, but
within days I was contacting their customer services as Npower
were unable to trace my request of wanting a gas supply. They
thought I had only signed up for an electricity supply. Anyhow
they agreed to change me to the dual fuel and it seemed to
go ahead without any issues.
Well that was until I had my first bill arrive for my gas.
The first was a whooping£1236.89, after telling them
it was a mistake the next was not much better at £923.54.
Finally after much time spent on their customer line it was
reduced to £52.53. Which I am sure was around about
the correct amount.
The problem seems internal communication in the company between
the gas and electricity departments. So dual fuel customer
can run into difficulties.
I have saved a few quid over my regional suppliers or British
Gas, but the hassle wasn't worth it and I would not recommend
switching over.
