Gameboy Advance is a a handheld console that was released in 2002 in the UK and is a more technically advanced machine than the original Nintendo Gameboy. The Gameboy Advance is a colour screened handheld which has a graphics chip technology similar to that found in the Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64. The console comes in a range of colours such as black, see thru, white, purple and plantium. It has a 32 bit processor that produces quality graphics and sound, LCD screen that is 50% bigger than the Gameboy Color's screen, can display 32,000 different colours simultaneously and most of the Gameboy games are compatible with the Gameboy Advance.

Gameboy Advance SP Review

I say that the gameboy advance is an excellent hand-held console. The games for it are amazing especially Yu-gi-oh Worldwide.

Pros:
- Excellent back-light display
- Smaller than original
- Rechargeable battery lasts a long time
- Comes with an AC adapter
- Fits hands very well
- Fold-down screen prevents scratches

Cons:
- A bit pricey if already own current model
- Headphone jack
- If rechargeable batteries run out while on a plane or something, you won't be able to play until you get to a power source.
- Cannot play Kirby's Tilt and Tumble.

I give the gameboy advance SP a 5 star rating.

The Gameboy Advance has taken over from the old black and white gameboy as the most popular handheld console in the UK. the quality of games is much higher and with the SP the console quality is improving.
