 Facts

Memory is used by computers to store recently used programs, instructions and data. Memory is basically short term memory and it's architecture makes it much quicker than hard disks, CD-ROM's or floppy drives. Of course like every other component, the more you have the better, a computer will run much quicker with a large amount of memory installed. The different forms of memory are always changing and improving such as EDO SIMMs, SDRAM DIMMs and RDRAM RIMMs to name a few of the recent types of memory. Smaller devices such as digital cameras and mp3 players use memory as well to store data such as pictures, this can then be transferred to a computer by way of a memory card. Some new types of transferable memory are listed below.

Types of memory
  • Compact Flash Cards
  • Memory Stick
  • Smart Media Cards

Sony MSA-32A 32Mb Memory Stick

I use this memory stick for my camera, and it easily slides right into my Sony Camera. It's that useful and fault free I cannot think of any bad points. The best point for the MSA-32A is the ease of use, it's great way to produce extra memory for you camera. To use it all you have to do is pull out the full memory stick and slip in another. Then when your infront of your pc you can insert them into your computer into any of your vacation shots. If you want to take alot of pictures for say a holiday or weekend break then i would say an extra memory stick is indispensable.
