This laptop should be ideal for any small business or corporate use, where laptops are the mainstay for work while on business travel. Compaq has added in a roomy 30Gb hard disk drive plus a DVD-ROM, CD-RW combo drive to give you plenty of storage options. You also get a Intel Pentium 4 2.4GHz Processor, 256Mb RAM, 15" TFT Screen and Up to 2.5Hrs Li-Ion Battery. Overall the machine seems pretty quick, but falls short of similar spec desktop computers from Compaq, which is probably the hard drive simply not being as fast as a desktop machine. For it’s power, the Presario machine is a reasonable size and a pretty good weight. It also has Microsoft Windows XP which is the next version of the Windows operating system, which is built on the solid foundation of Windows 2000. Overall a pretty good machine from Compaq.

Laptop computers are generally more expensive than desktops, and for your money you also get inferior processor, hard drive, memory ect specification. The reason being your getting a machine which is mobile and compacted to a much smaller form. They are plenty of major manufacturers who make laptops such as Hewlett Packard, Compaq, Acer and Gateway. Lots of the new laptop computers from these companies come with touch tone mouse systems, and a screen size of at least 14 inches.
