In the UK, 'knickers' is the most common term used for panties or similar ladies undergarments. Such terms like 'Don't get your knickers in a twist' are therefore only specific to the UK. Of course the name probably derives as a shortened version of 'Knickerbockers', which are loose Dutch undergarments. The 1950's saw a huge revolution in ladies underwear manufacturing. Knickers with printed and colored garments appeared. not just simple pieces of white clothing. The manufacturers like Gossard also experimented with new fabrics like dacron and nylon. 1959 also saw the creation of "tights" (another UK only term) which combined knicker and hose into one garment. They were howvere invented by the American Glen Raven Mills of North Carolina. Current day the biggest revolution in the knickers business has been thongs.

Elle Macpherson knickers

These pants are reasonably priced and seem well made using good quality materials. I like the fact thare also sexy and pretty at the same time. The only store i've seen them for sale is at Selfridges on Oxford Street, London. They also seem to flatter women who do not look like Elle Macpherson, thankfully.

Virgin Briefs

Briefs by virgin ware, made from a silky like faberic, feel great to wear all day, like having nothing on under your jeans. Available in colours such as classic white or black colourways and I found all there briefs smooth and slinky which looks and feels fantastic. With light branding and a contrasting logo feature it makes ideal underwear.
