Kangol are one of the coolest and best known makers of headware such
as berets. They became really famous and popular mainly due their fashion
accessories being worn by celebrities and especially hip-hop and R&B
stars in the late 1980's. R&B stars who have famously worn Kangol
include Run-DMC, LL Cool J and Samuel L. Jackson in a variety of movies
like jackie Brown.
Kangol are an English company and were founded in Cleator, Cumbria in 1938 by Jakob Spreiregen. They specialise in headwear such as hats, berets, caps and visors. Kangol also make a range of designer clothes as well as headwear such as t-shirts and tracksuits.
