Posted on 04 / 08 / 2003 Pentium Xeon 1.8A 512Kb I needed a processor for website server and the Intel Xeon processor
is designed for high-performance workstation and server applications.
Based on the new Intel NetBurst micro-architecture, it is binary
compatible with previous Intel Architecture processors. The Intel
Xeon processor extends the power of the Intel Pentium III Xeon processor
with new features designed to make this processor the right choice
for powerful workstation and advanced servers. Performance of the
Pentium Xeon configuration is very good, as expected, after looking
at all the top of the line components that we’ve used in evaluating
it. Its added advantage is the management features, enabling system
administrators to keep a close eye on CPU performance, temperature,
etc. For someone like me who is responsible for over 100 websites
