It took quite a wait before Apple decided to launch iTunes
in the UK. If you wish to sign-up for the service just visit
www.apple.com/itunes/ as the address doesn't seem to be on
this page. The service itself does cost money and is not free
like Kazaa or the original Napster. You pay for every song
you download, but it is a legitimate and legal pay-per-track
download service. So Apple have signed contracts properly
with music labels and bands. This means you are supporting
the music industry, so they can invest in new talent. Also
some people using Kazaa have been fined over £2000,
so you are taking a risk. And with iTunes you do not have
to worry about viruses and spyware which often attaches to
your computer with the other file sharing programs.

Must be the most popular music selection download worldwide
now, they currently charge-per-song, but they do not have
a subscription fees, one of best and easy to use software
interfaces which works with both Mac & Windows computers.
They have a database of over 2 million songs so you should
easily find what your looking for. First-time users will not
have a single problem finding the music title they want. And
apart from Linux users, the two major computer OS camps are
satisfied and supported. The DRM (not sure what the hell is
stands for) has been encoded into the AAC files (music file)
so you can only burn the file and use it on a set number of
computers. After this you will not beable to burn it again
or use it on another computer. You also do not need to have
a iPod to benefit, any mp3 player owner (be it software or
hardware) can use this service and the files downloaded.
