bought a Citizen watch from their home pages offer with a rrp of over £150
and came with a considerable discount. Not the fault of Hsamuels but it was a
shoddy piece of work, the metal scratched easily and after a few months the face
of the watch fell off. I did not bang or knock the watch heavily either if your
thinking that. Because I paid online, live rural and long distance from a shop
it was a real ordeal sending it back to be replaced. They had to send it manufacturer
etc and the whole thing took many weeks. I would not buy again from the Internet
because the returns process just stinks. By User - n/a User

page is attractive and easy to browse. Plenty of offers to wet your appetite like
an Accurist Watch with over £100 saving. Was £199.99 down to £79.99.
I also went into their high street shop a couple of days ago, browsed around
but did not buy and have to say I recieved a good and friendly service. The
only problem I find with jewellers is the pressure you feel as soon as I go into
the shop, there is nowhere to hide and you are always under the scrutiny of a
sales assistant and they are all pushy. The shop I went into was at Meadowhall
shopping centre and I did notice that all of the watches were in a separate section
from the jewellery - so they did do a good job of allowing me to find what I was
looking for. After a couple of minutes browsing I was pretty much dead set
on the watch I wanted, the problem was I was sure I good save more if I bought
online so I didn't want to buy in-store. I knew it's a little cheeky doing this
and so when I was asked by a member of staff if I wanted the watch I had to come
up with a lame excuse to my embarrassment. The shop assistant still gave me a
15% off voucher if I ever came in again which was great. They have a particularly
good range of Accurist, going up from £40, it seems they stock the midrange
brands like them and citizen and rotary. I reckon that Accurist are ideal
for daily wear however and look smart. I don't want thousand quid on my arm to
snatched off it by a mugger. It's also a good shop for buying as a gift for somebody,
because they have a gift wrap service. Delivery was within 48 hrs when I ordered
and I couldn't find cheaper elsewhere except eBay, but you never know if they
are fake from that site. It's all good except the pressure environment when visiting
rl store. By User - JP Morris User Rating - I

agree with the previous reviewer. Having bought a watch at H. Samuel I took it
back after the casing broke where it holds the wrist strap. The shop manager accused
me of having damaged it! The worst and rudest customer service I have ever come
accross.

They might be very accommodating initially but any problems with
your order and they turn on their completely unhelpful, don't-want-to-know,
flippant, arrogant, aggressive attitudes. I have absolutely no faith
in any thing they say as it changes every time I phone them. Ranks
as one of the worst customer service experiences ever.
