Posted on n/a Hallmark do make and sell some lovely cards, but they can be fiendishly expensive. For a large card you can upwards of five to ten pounds. I've usually bought my cards from M&S because they are well made, a reasonable size and have cost between one to two pounds. I suspect because Hallmark do not diversify they need to charge a premium for their cards to cover to council business tax and rent etc. Whereas large department stores such as M&S can simply put a selection of greeting cards next to the till or another discreet location. To perk up a friend I decided to personalise a card online, nothing fitted the bill on the high street. After googling for cards, the only stores I had heard of personalised cards were hallmark and moonpig. I preferred the Hallmark system, I found the card I wanted then I simply edited the text on the front cover and inside the card. That's as far as most personalisation systems work. Then I came to paying for the card, there were three size picks, small, regular and large. The small at a height of 144mm was tiny, and the large at 290mm huge. The regular at 195mm is the same dimensions of a dvd case. Ideal to my mind, so I picked that, the cost was £2.90 plus 49p for delivery. That's about the maximum I'd want to pay, upwards of a fiver for a piece of cardboard, no thx. I have not received the card yet, but overall the personalisation process, price, and ease of use was good. User Rating - ..........................................................................
