Flowers Direct are an online etailer who, as their name suggests, sell and deliver flowers. The company has also expanded to gifts, hampers and chocolates. Their head office, located in Anchor Buildings, Westgate, Morecambe, takes the orders via their website, then delegates the order to a network of eight hundred florists.
If the local florist cannot meet the order, then flowersdirect promise to send the order from their head office. The company states if you order before three o'clock on week days or before twelve o'clock on saturdays, then your flowers can be delivery on the same day. Whether this service is more expensive is not stated. Flowerdirect believe their same day flower delivery is their chief operating advantage over the competition. A courier service may not be able to meet the same exacting demands as a local florist.
The main ordering options flowersdirect has is delivery same day, next
day, by florist, by courier, or on a specific date. The flowers are
then divided in price range, under thirty pounds, between thirty and
fifty pounds and above fifty pounds. You then have flowers designed
for special occasions, such as a wedding, birthday, mother's day, anniversary,
or valentine's day. Finally there is the type of flower, such as orchids
or roses, and the colour such as red, pink, yellow, white or blue.

Most of my orders have been fault free, occasional dead flower but with an online order of perishable goods I was expecting a few faults. If you do not already know, Flowers Direct use florists up and down the UK to deliver their goods. Note of warning, if you are late ordering during peak times (mother's day) like I was, then your order may be refused due to Flowers Direct not being able to find a local florist to fulfil the order.
