Fax is short for facsimile. It's a technology that takes paper
from the sender and copies and produces paper that looks exactly
like it at the recipient's end. Currently email is cleaner, often
cheaper, and more environmentally friendly. Fax was more popular
in the late 80's and early 90's. You can find Brother, Philips and
Sagem fax machines that are either thermal fax machines, plain paper
fax machines, inkjet plain paper fax machines or multi-function
inkjet fax machines. Some Brother, Philips and Sagem fax machines
also offer a digital handset, answer machine, cordless phone management,
email and internet access.

User Rating -
Philips PPF531 Magic 3 Primo inkjet

Philips are a brand I have been using all my life, because their
products have never been let down. This includes televisions, hi-fi
systems and shavers. Therefore when looking for a fax machine it
was the only brand I considered. It seems that their products are
built to last for longer than other brands, and even this fax has
a stylish and simple design. It's also a breeze to use with innovative
features like a telephone which speed dials and of course caller
display so can ignore those unwanted telephone calls. It also has
an easy to use copier with multi-copy function. I've had no problems
with this, and the manual eaily explains how to perform all the
faxing functions. Top marks again for a quality brand.

Fax is now becoming an ageing technology,
but is still used by the majority of companies. Even with the advent
of email and the Internet. Fax machines such as the Brother Fax t-74
plain paper fax machine, the Sagem 2320 plain paper fax and telephone
answering machine and the Philips PPF456 magic 2 memo plain paper
fax with memory are ideal for any business.
