Denon also developed Japan's first professional-use disc recorder for the broadcasting industry. Denon also developed the world's first home theater system to support Dolby AC-3 and THX 5.1.

Denon UD-M50
I've received steady service from my denon system for close to four years. My one regret was purchasing the version with a three disc changer. The clatter it makes when changing discs is awful and is not in keeping with the quality of the rest of the system. Denon take note.
The speakers are repackaged mission speakers, good quality, the pine finish suits my living room furniture so I've considered replacing them. Even though they are probably the weakest link in the system. I also bought an additional tape deck from denon, same dimension which fits on top, model number DRR-M31.
I've recenrlt hooked the system up to my PC. Ripped all my cd's to mp3 files and now play my music collection through my pc, which saves me swapping discs and I can also make custom playlists.

Denon D-M50
I bought this compact hifi from Comet about six months ago for £300, and I think it is still selling for a similar price now. Due to me buying a wega home cinema system that also plays cd's I decided to sell my Denon hifi to a friend. This I seriously regret. The Denon hifi played cd's at a much better quality rate and even though it had much less watt power you wouldn't have known it. The next thing about the D-M50 is it's size which will fit anywhere and it looks amazing. If you are in the market for a compact hifi that look and sounds great then look no further.
