I have seen this review but after trying Datakits.co.uk for
3 orders now I have found their service to be excellent. I
hope the other anoymous review got their problem sorted but
they havent updaed us :(

They have not given a contact number also they do not respond
to the email to sent to them on the email id mentioned on
there site. I happened to shopped on this site and found some
problem at the time of making payment. To my surprise the
transaction had taken place from my bank and there was no
order mentioned on site. When tried to tell bank about the
same they said money has been debited to datakits.co.uk.
Fortunately I could find out there contact number (somebody
like me must have kept it in review) and could talk to them.
They accepted the fact that there was some problem in server.
They said they have not received payment since bank had declined
the same.
Now when I inquired in bank they say the transactions are
still in pending status and if bank had already declined it,
it will get credited to my account again. But till then that
amount of money is locked.
I hope it will get released soon and I get my money back.
I believe when there is any site is created to sell goods
online they should provide there contact number so that consumer
can immediately contact them and resolve their issues.
Also I observed that the response of emails which they is
the only way to contact them is very poor rather is worst
ever I have seen.
Any normal merchant acknowledge emails come from there registered
users at least.
I still have hopes to get my money back. But I am writing
to you so that there should some improvement on this site.

Don't touch these people. Same comments as the other customers:
no goods, no answers to e-mails, no help from the phone number
above. I'm trying to take steps to cancel the transaction,
which, of course, went through straight away.

I finally did hear from the company by e-mail, apologising
for the delay. My goods did turn up eventually (to my surprise).
Of the two items ordered, one is fine and the other was incorrect.
I e-mailed to request an exchange and this time got a next-day
answer. I returned the incorrect item and am now waiting for
the replacement to arrive. My advice: be very patient. I have
revised my initial opinion and now have every hope of receiving
my order eventually! Not sure I'd order again though.

Purchase Jabra SP500 Car Kit. Excellent service same day
dispatch goods arrived in perfect condition and now happily
travelling the country with me in my car.

Never Again!
When I emailed to get a tracking number I was told that the
orginal package was lost in transit and a replacement would
be shipped when they had stock! I'd like to chase RM but i'm
having trouble getting the tracking number....

Ordered goods. Money taken immediately. Waiting 3 weeks and
no joy despite continuous e-mails. Waiting a week for a tracking
number. Now don't respond to e-mails. A total scam.

company. I've heard this company is a scam, the very few good
reviews are fake. Do not fall for it.

Ordered goods 18 September. Money debited from credit card
account same day. By Friday no sign of goods or even email
from them advising goods dispatched so I cancelled order by
email within the \'cooling off period\'. They ignored my email
then sent me email next day advising goods dispatched. Now
28 Sept and no goods. Emailed them 4 times - no replies, other
than their automated replies which advise a sales person would
contact within 48 hours. Don't believe goods have been dispatched.
Agree with many other customers - Datakits are definitely
not to be trusted. Do not order from them. I suspect the one
5-star rating they have was sumitted by themselves. If you
do shop with them and have problems contact your local trading
standards and credit card company.

AVOID THIS SELLER AT ALL COSTS!
As per most of the reviews, leave this website well alone.
They may be cheap and easy to use, but beware as they seem
to deliver substandard products and their customer service
is non-existent. Literally!

I would not recommend this business to anyone I like. I placed
an order on the 18th December 2006, well in time for Christmas delivery
as per their delivery instructions.
I have received absolutely nothing but automated responses to my
emails & nothing in response to the answerphone messages I have
left. The most infuriating thing from my perspective, the customer,
is that they have taken the money for the product but I can't get
a hold of anyone to find out what has happened to it.
In my experience, the best businesses out their on the web will
OFFER to cancel your order if they are unable to fulfil it -- with
Datakits, I don\'t even know if I will ever get it or my money back.
I will be reporting them to Trading Standards.

Ordered product of this company before christmas had still not
received it well over two weeks later, contacted the company several
time with no responce via their preferred method of email you only
receivean automated responce and nothing after that. The alternative
method of contact is always full i.e. by phone. Would not recommend
anyone who actually want what they have ordered and paid for, to
use this company.
In my experience, the best businesses out their on the web will

Absolutely terrible service. I bought two MP3 players in May 2006,
they were finally delivered at the end of June. The late delivery
was due to the fact that Datakits stated they hadnt received order,
however payment had been taken and I had been given an order number!
Then I sent the players back as not quality I had expected. I was
never given an invoice or specific number for returns, as their
terms page states. I eventually returned the items recorded delivery
at the beginning of July 2006 and am still waiting a refund of over
£100 (7 months!) Datakits are not even resdponding to Trading
Standards.

Try logging into their website-there is an operator based chat
facility-I am still waiting for goods but at least you can talk
to someone to tell them how rubbish their company is- I am waiting
for an MP4 player (cost with p+p 75.98- my other order of a m2 memory
card did arriive albeit five days late- They have assured me that
MP4 player will be dispatched today- try it at least you can tell
them how p****d of you all are!!!!

Seem to have a problem despatching orders, I placed an order on
2nd Jan, 2nd Feb now and still waiting for goods, have received
three emails confirming (each time) that goods have been sent ......
I still wait patiently. Also no tel number on website so all contact
is by email.

I ordered 2 mobile phone cases on 20.01.07 and on 26.01.07 my package
arrived, except there was only 1 phone case in the jiffy bag (the
delivery note said 2x cases). I have sent 3 emails but have had
no response as yet and after reading these other reviews I'm not
to optimistic. I realise I'm lucky to have received something and
will have only lost £6.00 if nothing more comes in the post,
but how disappointing and frustrating that a company who on first
appearance look legit aren't that great. Next time I buy online
I will look for sites like this to see other people's experiences.
I guess I've learnt a relatively cheap lesson.

Well I got my second phone case this morning, 3 days after I posted
my first message here. I had a response to my emails apologizing
for the delivery error and luckily they have come through for me.
I feel sorry for all the people who are experiencing problems with
this company and clearly stand to loose more money than I would
have. There are evident staff and management problems with this
company and although I now have my products I won't be using them
again. My advice, use sites like this one to find other users experiences
before purchasing.

I have recently bought a philips digital photo frame from datakits
and it arrived faulty. I have phoned the answerphone service 4 times
and sent 4 e-mails and have yet to recieve a response from them
- 1 month later. I think i will go and pay them a visit. I live
300 miles away but its the principle of the matter now and any money
i will lose in travelling down will make me feel better about the
whole situation.
