It's possible to categorise three main types of curtain, graded by their ability to absorb light and insulate warmth. Sheer curtain, made from polyester or a cotton, thin, they allow a maximum amount of light to transmit through them. Uncoated curtain, a thicker and tightly woven fabric, capable of blocking the majority of light and provide reasonable heat insulation.
