| | Facts | | | | | | | |
The coffee maker is a small appliance which try to make a brew-style
coffee without having to boil water in a pan. Most machines put
the coffee grounds in a paper or filter inside a funnel. This is
then set over a glass coffee pot. The water is then entered into
a separate area, then heated till boiling point, and finally directed
into the funnel. The coffee machine was developed in France in the
early 19th century as a "pumping percolator". The machine
would boil water in a chamber until it would force itself up a tube,
then down into coffee grounds. This would all be set over a pot.
Present day the number, design, style, and size of coffee makers
has increased dramatically.

Gaggia Classic Coffee Machine

What first attracted me to this coffee maker was it's solid and
good looking design. Since then it has given me good performance
and the manual instructions and additional information were spot
on. The switches do feel a little bit too plasticy and cheap, but
overall the quality is high. quality is worth the extra effort.
It seems you would almost have to try to make it create a bad espresso.
Worth the extra expense.

Like with other small electric items Coffee Makers prices vary
very little, with the most expensive being 50 pounds the cheap priced
Coffee Makers being around 15 pounds. In the long run it must be
better to buy the more exensive toaster because it will last longer
and most likely will save you money. We found that the Delonghi
coffee maker had a good set of features for £120 at the Comet
website.
Cappuccino / Coffee Makers vary in price at the moment from cheap
prices such as £20 for a Russell Hobbs 3360 BLACK Espresso
coffee maker, which comes with features such as 3.5 bars pressure
for the better quality of coffee, Safety pressure valve, 2 cup adaptor
and power on indicator.
