In the past, babies and young children are not ideal occupants for trainers, because they do not always help the development of their feet. The history of the major manufacturers of trainers is interesting, notably Adidas, Nike, Puma and Reebok. Most of these brands were founded on making shoes for their national athletic teams, Nike for the United States and Adidas for Germany. They slowly developed from being athletic brands in the 1950's and 60's to multinational worldwide brands by the 1980's. We have found good savings on all types of trainers online. We've found some of the biggest savings on high cost models, like the Nike Shoz trainer. It's perfectly possible to find cheap prices for top of the line trainers. But, on some occasions these trainers have damaged packaging or were display trainers in a store.
Functions of Trainers
Men's and women's trainers do have different functions, as shown below,
- Gym shoes - general purpose athletic shoes.
- Running shoes - very similar to above, but lighter for general running
- Boating shoes - have soft soles to avoid or scratching.
- Track shoes - often have cleats to help grip.
- Football shoes - have cleats for again grip on grass and astrotuff.
- Golf shoes - include spikes for grip while hitting the golf ball.
- Bowling shoes - have a hard rubber sole to protect bowling alley
floors.
- Hiking boots - hard wearing rubber souls and upper cloth.
- Orthopedic shoes - designed for people with foot problems.
- Skating shoes - have a place for attachments to be added to the bottom.

Converse All Stars
A durable shoe, with excellent stitching. They still hold up as a brand, in part due to their grungy, retro appeal. Notable fans include Kurt Cobain. I would NOT recommend this shoe to everyone.
The flat sole, and lack of heel support can make them uncomfortable. The style is distinctive, therefore, they will not look good with many clothes. I'd only consider wearing them with a indie outfit.
The materials used are cheap, the shoe is inexpensive, around thirty quid. On my last pair, the gum of my all stars wore out, all the way through to my sock. Conclusion, inexpensive, retro looking and hard wearing.
