| | Facts | | | | | | | |
Trainers are a shoe designed for sport / fitnees activities, but
offer such good comfort and support many people use them for general
purposes. One warning for babies and young children is that trainers
may not help the development of their feet. Some of the major manufacturers
of trainers include Adidas, Nike, Puma and Reebok. Most of these
brands were founded on making shoes for national athletic teams
such as Nike for the United States and Adidas for Germany. They
then slowly developed from being athletic brands in the 1950's and
60's to multinational worldwide brands by the 1980's. We have found
massive savings on all types of trainers online. We find the biggest
savings on high cost models such as the Nike Shoz trainer. It's
perfectly possible to find cheap prices for top of the line trainers.
We think buying the best at the lowest price is the best plan if
your using the trainer for fitness work. We imagine you could suffer
through a 30 min workout with a low quality trainer.
Functions of Trainers
Men's and women's trainers do have different functions, as shown
below,
- Gym shoes - general purpose athletic shoes.
- Running shoes - very similar to above, but lighter for general
running
- Boating shoes - have soft soles to avoid or scratching.
- Track shoes - often have cleats to help grip.
- Football shoes - have cleats for again grip on grass and astrotuff.
- Golf shoes - include spikes for grip while hitting the golf
ball.
- Bowling shoes - have a hard rubber sole to protect bowling alley
floors.
- Hiking boots - hard wearing rubber souls and upper cloth.
- Orthopedic shoes - designed for people with foot problems.
- Skating shoes - have a place for attachments to be added to
the bottom.

Asics Gel 1090
I picked these up for a ridicously low price in the january sales
at my local JD sports (30 pounds off, and were just £35).
I have been throughly impressed with them for the past few months.
They are very comfortable and quite light, which makes them ideal
for my weekly run. The only real let down is the looks, they are
not as aesthetically pleasing as my old Reebok DMX trainers. But
on the other I will exchange this for the increased grip, comfort
and reliability.
