Do not be fooled by the 5 star rating - we were!

Please do not buy this machine unless you enjoy removing "clean" articles and then scrubbing them by hand. Approximately 1 wash out of 15 will be clean. When brought to Candy\'s attention within the guarantee period we were told this is "just how it is". Some perseverance later and now over the guarantee limit and left with a worthless machine - thanks Candy!!!!

Nice large capacity fridge freezer which is cheap and well made. I was looking for a fridge freezer for the garage which didn't cost the earth but was made by a brand I had heard of (didn't want it to breakdown after a short period). I found this Candy 8.1 cu.ft gross capacity fridge freezer at Comet and bought it mainly because it had money off at £189.97 and also included free delivery which I suspect is a lot for large items like fridge freezers. I had it delivered about 2 weeks ago and have had no problems with it so far, it is pretty basic but does include features such as a bottle rack in the door, ice cube tray, egg tray and a dairy compartment designed to hold butter or cheese separate from other foods. A recommended basic fridge freezer.

Is there a possibility that anyone could psot an address here fpr me to get a handbook for this product. I have just aquired it from my son and his wife and do not appear to be getting the best results from the appliance.

I got a Candy fridge freezer May 2006. About a month ago it started to smell, and it caused me broncial irritation. Neither the manufacturer or the supplier said they could find anything wrong, as it was still working. However, I am still experiencing coughs etc whenever I am in the house which dissappears when I go out, and have been forced to buy another different type of fridge freezer.
I feel that I have not got the service I should have from the manufacturer, as it is still under guarantee, and they should have at least taken it back to investigate further.

HAS ANY ONE ELSE HAD THE SAME COMPLAINT?

Candy make electrical appliances were are quite cheap in price and are known for their reliability. Candy had a big change in size, market position and coverage in 1995, with the acquisition of Hoover, European leader in the floorcare and UK leader in washing machines and dishwashers.
