  • The Alchemist is a magical story of Santiago, an Andalusian shepherd boy who travels in search of a worldly treasure. From his home in Spain he journeys to the markets of Tangiers and across the Egyptian desert to a fateful encounter with the alchemist.
  • The story of the treasures Santiago finds along the way teaches us, as only a few stories have done, about the essential wisdom of listening to our hearts, learning to read the omens strewn along life's path, and above all, following our dreams.

 The Alchemist Reviews

User rating -

This is the story of a shepherd boy who follows a path of omens to his destiny. As with all journey stories, you, the reader, will grow spiritually alongside the protagonist as he grows. The one thing I loved was the twist at the end of the book so many books I've read seem to loose momentum towards the end thats even if I read until the end. This did not disappoint.
