We have just returned from our third family break at Walt Disney World Florida. The reason we keep returning is beause the resort is absolutely beautiful. There is nowhere else quite like it, other parks being but a shallow replica. Of course it's ideal for young families, because there is a lot of fun for the kids. The food court is also ideal for kids (maybe not for their health) and the shopping is very good for finding gifts (can be a little pricey). The parks is so big and there is so much to do you can easily spend a week there without getting bored. We have visited most of the theme parks in orlando and Disney is the most organised and well layed out for visitors. Personally we did like the occasional break so we visited other tourist attractions in Orlando. For those who have trouble walking long distances, this is perhaps not the holiday for them. I know my mother would have a hard job walking the long distances to get everywhere. There is plenty of transportation to help on the really long journeys, but your legs will still feel it after a long day with the kids. We also went in peak summer, where it never gets below 90 degrees. The heat wave we experienced was also quite fierce. It can be tiring and very hot, but I still feel it's the most fantastic place for both adults and children. The helpful and friendly staff are also a big bonus, it's very organised and professional. Like my family I am sure you will return again and again.
