I booked a flight with Thomas Cook airlines for a holiday
break from Newcastle to Paphos. It was a winter break away
from the cold of the North East and we went from the 12th
January too 26th January. The plane flight was on time, wasn't
ruined by youthful drunks, has a relaxed atmosphere and tv
programmes were available to those who got bored on the journey.
Of course the meals were not very nice, but at least they
were edible. Luckily i received a window seat so I had superb
views as we travelled over the Alps in Switzerland and Austria.
Well i think it was Switzerland, the pilot didn't provide
much information sadly. The staff both at the airport and
on the plane were also very helpful. It was a trouble free
flight, and I wouldn't have any qualms traveling again with
Thomas Cook.

My Wife and I flew from Vancouver to Gatwick return. Our
flight to gatwick was a total disaster.First-we were in upgraded
seats. My seat did not move to its fullest owing to the Toilets
being too close! Try eating with a stubborn passenger in front
of you-who sat reclined for 4 hours, even with the bumping
I gave him!
At mealtime we had no second choice! There was only bangers
and mash. The worse is yet to come! Following morning the
toilets had no water. We had to use bottle water and wet-wipes.
No coffee etc!
Imagine our total chagrin when we tried to get our luggage-only
to find one case missing. You see - we had two cases exactly
alike-complete with a rainbow coloured belt strapped vertically
on each case. One would think it was impossible to leave one
and take the other from the plane. Knowing that the Aircraft
was leaving in 40 minutes for Manchester - I forewarned the
the lost luggage office. "Sorry but we have to follow
a routine sir".
Soooo our piece of luggage went to Manchester where it had
to stay for the weekend, until someone arrived on Monday before
it could even be dispatched. We got it late Tuesday!
In the meantime my wife had no clothing to change into- it
was all in the lost suitcase. Now - to add insult to injury
my wifes call to canadian affairs received a letter from a
Luggage loss adjusters stating delayed delivery of baggage
to homeward bound flights could not receive expenses.
Guess I am in La-La land when someone from your organisation
doesn't even know whether we were coming or going.
We are not going to let this go quietly, in fact we are both
in unique positions with "The British Club" and
the "Royal Canadian Legion" here. I myself am in
"Advertising and Publicity" for the RCL. I am considering
writing our story to warn others of the pitfalls with some
Airlines that could spoil their holidays completely.

My family and I flew from Toronto to Manchester on T.C and found
the flight to be quite refreshing.
Left on time, very spacious seats, nice friendly crew, clean aircraft.
The food was very edible, having flown many times on Air Transat
and Skyservice, the food was very good.
All around service was very good, only black mark, when returning
from Manchester we had to pay 25 GB pounds to bring back with us
a water wake board, which we had taken over free of charge, we had
also checked with T.C on this side and they assured us that there
would be no problem taking the wake board to the U.K. or bringing
it back, I argued that it was a form of blackmail, in as much as
we were not going to leave a $500:00 wake in Manchester.
All in all, good flight, for what it is worth, my last 2 flights
with Air Canada, one to the U.K. and the last one from Cancun via
Philadelphia, we lost a bag on each flight.

My family and I have just returned from a holiday in Rhodes all
I can say is that the rep in the hotel was fantastic nothing was
too much trouble for her. The cabin crew outbound and especially
on return were great my daughter was poorly on return and nothing
was too much trouble I would definatley use Thomas Cook again.
