Posted on n/a Customer service is awful. I needed to return some goods but despite months of wrangling and promises of a refund, it never happened and I\'ve now given up hope. They don't seem have a reason for keeping my goods and not issuing a refund. All I get are promises (which turn out to be lies), ignorance or some kind of 'deliberate' misunderstanding just to waste time. If you must deal with them, I recommend buying from the shops and not online. When I checked for delayed delivery, they just kept saying the stock has been delivered and stop.. no follow up. In the end I received the parcel 1 week after their promised delivery time (within two weeks) and the outside box was broken. The individually packed goods are alright. Another bad experience with them is, I tried to achieve the 6% discount point by buying over a certain amount in 1 half year and you will be entitled to a discount in the following half year. While I made the enough purchase and got a confirmation letter from Tchibo, I cannot get the discount on-line on my next purchase in that half year. When I asked their customer service, the customer service staff simply pulled the whole statement of how to achieve the discount and no more..They do not even look into your case and reply. I scanned and email the letter to the Managing Director, and still no reply. In another incident, I emailed to the product enquiry asking whether the cordless telephone has hand-free feature, they asked you to call their technical services?? This should be able to tell from product description and not even technical! All my experience with Tchibo On-line is just dealing with a machine. While I like the products very much, I am disappointed by their on-line services. I purchased goods from them which turned out to be faulty, but the fault only transpired after their 14 day returns period had expired. I contacted them for weeks by e-mail with no answer, and I could never get through to them on the phone. I eventually received an e-mail telling me that I could only return the item if it had been purchased 14 days ago. I think it is unfair that they are selling faulty goods and we consumers are being made to suffer. I've certainly learnt my lesson and will not be purchasing from tchibo again. Posted on n/a I have had no trouble in contacting them by phone, and have been very satisfied with their service for years now. Any returns have been handled speedily, and they were very helpful and curteous on the phone.
