Posted on n/a Sony was founded by Masaru Ibuka and Akio Morita on May 7th in 1946 Tokyo. The Sony Corporation is the leading manufacturer of audio, video, communications and information technology products. They make these for both the consumer and professional markets. Additionally, the companys has a massive music, motion picture, television production business. They also expanded into video games with the Playstation, and their online businesses make Sony one of the most comprehensive entertainment companies in the world. Sony bought both the CBS (Columbia) Records Group from CBS and Columbia Pictures, and currently own 60% of the world wide music market with the merger of Sony Music Entertainment and BMG in 1994. Sony have in the past invented technologies including the MiniDisc, Betamax, SDDS (Sony Dynamic Digital Sound) and present day Blu-Ray disc format. Posted on n/a Sony KV32DX30 32 Inch Flat Screen Television I really like the styling of the TV and that it's in silver. It has
good speaker placement and the TV stand is probably my favourite part
because Sony have blended the TV and stand together. You can hardly
tell where the TV ends and the stand begins and this means it look as
if it's all one giant unit. The tv I cost is a 32 inch flat screen but
you can get it as a 36 inch televison, it has features such as 16:9
widescreen format, gigital tuner with all Freeview channels on Sky such
as Sky News and some of the music channels, Virtual Dolby Surround sound,
10 watts RMS subwoofer power output, Fastext which means a quicker way
to access Teletext information by using the red, green, yellow and blue
buttons on the remote control. Some of the news Sony tv's also have
a favourites option that remembers your channel switching and gives
you live pictures of previous channels. I would definitely recommend
this television or anything from Sony because they make such good appliances. Kelly Russell User Rating - ............................................................................. Posted on n/a Sony CDPXE270S CD Player I picked out this cd player model because it was among the least expensive models that Sony currently produce. There were two less expensive models at Comet, but they were not acceptable brands, Bush and Goodmans who I don't trust quality wise. The setup and installation was easy, I just pluged it into the wall and connected the audio (optical or analog) to my Sony amplifier. The CD player will play both CD-R and CD-RW recorded discs. It is also Multi functional, which allows quick and easy operation of MD ie.entering text, changing track, controlling edit facilitiy. It also has optical digital output for connecting other digital equipment such as a minidisc player and has 24 track programmable/repeat/random CD play function, which you can program tracks to play in a certain order, random order or in repeat mode. It hasnt got a remote control in the package but it can be bought, but still in the end this is a fantastic piece of equipment, and a must-buy for all needing a useful but cheap CD Player. very small. The main component holds a one disc CD player and a radio
that plays the standard FM-AM stations. The two speakers are also small
and can be moved easily if you want a more surround sound. The CD player
on this system works well, is loud enough for large room and does does
not skip like hifi stereos i have owned. With the radio it has a presetting
stations option with an auto or manual mode, but I have found this very
confusing and hard to understand, even with help from the instructions.
If you have a small flat or just to save space, then this is the ideal
hifi which isn't too expensive but sounds good for the money and is
attractive. User Rating -
