The first time I heard of Robert Dyas was when my work required
that I locate to the south of England. There stores all seem
to be situated only in the South of England. But for those
of you in the North and Midlands you can check them out via
their online shopping site at www.robertdyas.co.uk. Personally
I do not often buy online, and especially not items like cookers
and appliances which I feel need expert in-store advice, incase
you are ordering something totally unsuitable for your property.
But I was searching for their telephone number so decided
just to have a nosey round their site as well. Their stock
online just about equals that in-store, they have everything
you could ever require for your home or garden. The only criticism
of your store is the generally confusing layout, plus a good
percentage of their stock seems tacky (abit like tandy).

It's the odd fact with Robert Dyas, as a child there was
no store I would more dislike being dragged into by my father.
Now I am the father with my son now complaining vocally everytime
how boring the store is. Our local Robert Dyas has moved location
a few times of the past decades, and sadly their new premises
are the smallest yet, this has made browsing their stock the
most confusing to date (it was always confusing), and the
cramped layout is probably very unattractive to someone not
accustomed to it. This has meant my local branch has stopped
stocking the larger items like lawnmowers and fridges and
such like. This is a shame, and I hope this isn't a general
trend across all their locations. Like always there are many
bargains to be found, with products ranging from £1
to £1000. And a great many items you will never find
elsewhere, this is what I like most about visiting Robert
Dyas, browsing products you will find nowhere else on the
high street. This store is your best bet for finding an unusual
specialist item. Long live Robert Dyas :)
