Never consider transferring your gas provider to this company.
I sadly transferred my domestic accounts for gas and electricity
to Powergen to save some money on bills last April. They took eight
weeks to get my electricity transfer sorted out, which I felt was
rather excessive. Before this I was with Scottish Gas, well i 'WAS'
because they kept sending me bills for gas as well. When I phoned
Scottish Gas (who were very helpful) they informed me that Powergen
had never contacted them. So I was by this time now receiving bills
from two companies. Unlike Scottish Gas I has no end of problems
contacting Powergen. I must have phoned their customer service line
well over 20 times. Every single time I got through to the obligatory
"Welcome to powergen, For this, press etc etc etc. After going
through no end of options you finally hear get connected to a person.
And on these twenty or so calls I have been told that my account
doesn't exist, that my home doesn't even exist LOL, and of course
I owe them a pile of money for an account and home that doesn't
exist. Everytime they assured me they would it sorted by the end
of today. It took weeks before 'touch wood' things seem correctly
in place. Shocking in my only description of this company.
