I was interested in a large deep fryer. Most of the fryers sold on currys, comet etc have a poor capacity for a large family. I was in need of a fryer which could cook enough chips for five or six people per sitting. Nisbets had a fryer which fit the bill, but I needed some additional information which was not provided in the product specification and description.
Rather than phone them, I felt it would be easier to send off an email using their contact form. I did get a reply a day later - but it appeared a stock response and did not satisfy my curiosities. I eventually got a fryer from another merchant. While Nisibits have got some nice products - items you would not have found out about before the age of the Internet. I found the product description lacking and I was slightly disappointed by the online support.

I first learnt of Nisbets when a leaflet come catalogue was packaged with our local paper. I discarded it like most of my junk mail. Only later did the cover catch my eye, I'd never browsed through a catalogue for commercial grade cooking equipment. It was quite the novelty. And quite surprising how cheap some of the items were. I probably should not disclose my dirty little secret, but I've always been a regular at my local little chef. The griddle they cook on has always caught my interest, and I've always thought that's a much easier surface to cook on than four mobs and frying pans. It's also alot less cleaning, all the little chef have to do is scrap off the surface, and the jobs a good 'un. Out of interest I visited the Nisbets website to see how much one of these griddles would cost. I almost fell off my chair when I found one for £140, I was expecting an obscene price of £600. I was a little bit nervous putting my credit card details in, I wasn't even sure where I'd put the griddle. But I was also reminded how cool it would be cook my all English breakfast on the same surface, and how much easier it would be.
