They have recently been rebranded to LX Direct 'Littlewoods Extra
Direct' I suppose. This was one of the first websites I purchased
from online. They focus mainly on clothing, even though you can
find items in most categories of a catalogue. They do offer big
savings on many big name brands for clothes. I purchased three Fila
t-shirts from them for under £15 the other week. On the high
street i would have been lucky to buy one for this price. The only
gripe i have about the site is it's not the easiest to browse. I
find it a bit of a mess compared to some other sites i've used.
And i constantly get emails from this site even though I never asked
for one. This seems a problem with alot of sites I buy from.

If you want to buy from categories clothes to gardening equipment,
you will find this catalogue such extremely handy. The Littlewoods
company now manages several different catalogues, and like Argos
has high-street branches in most large towns and cities. They also
offer store finance, loans and credit cards (i've been advised store
cards are a bad idea from a friend, high apr payments). The site
like the catalogue is split into sections for various items. This
makes it easy to find items. Then there are sub-sections, for example
exclusive designers in the ladies fashion section. You may also
find offers occationally such as "three for the price of two".
I've just signed up to the Clearance Club - for £10 a year.
You the get the first editions of sale leaflets. You then get first
pick on all their sale and discounts. I did this because a friend
warned me they tend to sell out extremely quickly.

My only experience with company was a nightmare experience, which
began when I opened an account with the mail order catalogue section.
I havent used the website, and have no plans to either. I made a
purchase about 3 years ago by phone with their mail order catalogue.
At the same time I opened an account offering 90 days interest free
credit. I had 2½ years with no problems (a word of warning,
the interest on these account is extremely high, with an APR of
around 29%). The problems started when i had a bad experience I
wont go into here at my local store. I then sent a cheque and letter
to the head office to close my account with them. The enclosed cheque
was for full and final settlement of my account. What occured then
was unbelievable, I had Littlewoods phoning up saying they were
checking the account for fraud, due to me paying the full amount.
Now if my account was debited that amount I could understand it.
But what fraudster would pay £800 of my debt off. This took
months to sort out, and at the end of it they offered me a £10
voucher.
