For those of you dont already know, Harrods is undoubtedly Britains
best known individual store. And must be the best know and most
famous throughout the world. The store itself was established in
1849, and is located in Knightsbridge in the big old city of London.
Of course one of the most useful bits about the store is it's easily
accessible from the Knightsbridge underground station. It's only
a stones throw away and the store also has a regular bus service.
The actual high street store It has 7 floors and must have at least
300 plus different departments. The most popular department must
be the The Food Hall, and must be considered one of Harrods finest
assets. Alot of the items are very pricey of course, but if you
search around a bit you'll find some which isn't.

To correct the other reviewer, Harrods has 330 plus departments,
and easily over 4,000 staff . From what a sales rep told me, they
have been known to take £15 million in a single day. I think
Harrods main success is from attracting tourists and visitors from
around the world. They do this by selling almost everything the
world produces. Like the above reviewer the the highlight is the
splendid food hall upon the ground floor. Only recently the central
escalator has architecture inspired by ancient Egyption art. No
doubt requested by the owner Mohamed Al Fayed. If you have young
children they should not miss the the Toy Kingdom on the upper floors.

Harrods must be one of the greatest shopping experiences in the
World. The store The store is over 150 years old and amazingly is
the 3rd most visited tourist attraction in London. The store actually
covers 1 million square feet to add to the above information. Like
the two other reviewers I enjoy the food halls the most, especially
the 350 different types of cheeses Harrods sell. For fans of Princess
Diana the owner Mohamed Al Fayed has placed a memorial dedicated
to the late Princess Diana and Dodi Al Fayed on the lower ground
floor. There are bargains during the sales period, once I picked
up some Versace shirst for just £25 each. Account holders
can also get a 10% discount on most items during the discount days
that Harrods runs during the year.
