My premier card from HSBC comes with nice offers, and from their
premium offering, the service is consistent and polished. My only
problem has been the lack of flexibility in the late payment charge
policy. This is not much to whinge about, as I am sure most credit
companies are the same.
If you do not meet the late payment, the sting in the tail can
be fierce, and the excess of limit charges has been at least £60
on two occasions. It is important to pay on time and I continue
to pay my bills on time after this hard shock.
Like most banks and large companies they have problems when you
recently move your address. They have been sending my statements
to my previous addresses and luckily the couple there have happily
forwarded my post to my new address.
This has forced me to conduct all my business banking affairs online,
but it would still be nice if HSBC would keep up their side of the
deal. ie, once informed of my nw address, sending my mail there.
Like with all large organisations, the lack of the 'human' factor
weighs heavy, it's such a faceless company with just a telephone
number, it seems so cold.
