My credit and banking history is not prolific, but I have to write today that I have signed up for: The GM Card by Visa. I found the card via the Visa website and applied online. Within 6 days my card should arrive on my door mat. It was so simple a child could do it (I hope mine doesn't) because there were no phone calls or intricate forms to fill out. The main interest I had in the car was the list of rebate points/money it takes to partially pay for a new Saab car. The introductory forms also included all the required security information, interest rates and contact numbers to proceed with the process. Basically you need to spend X amount of money on your GM card and then you get off the total of the car's price, with a total of up to 2500 pounds in 5 years. The only downside with the card is the interest rates are quite high, which is 19.4% annually, therefore I have had trouble keeping a low balance. Overall I am happy though because I work hard at this card so the rebate really pay off for me.

I have not been impressed with GM, they have high interest rates. I have to say it looks one of the worst credit cards to own. The only advantage of the GM reward points is if you want a new vehicle, which really is a joke in my opinion. I want free music CD's vouchers, something which is possible to achieve, not a £20k motor.
