If your going to be sly you can save yourself some cash,
maybe even a 10% discount for most items if you buy online,
instead of instore. You just go down to your local Focus DIY,
find what your looking for then say your undecided for now.
Then you order online for free delivery or take advantage
of their offers which are usually restricted to online purchases.
Like the 10% online discount for new home owners for six months
if they buy their new kitchen appliances online. This offer
was ideal for myself because I did still have the proof of
ownership, which was luckily just below six months deadline.
I only found out that they sold kitchen appliances with this
offer because a number of my friends at work had taken up
Focus on the offer.

I've only used Focus for the occasional bit of DIY work,
but let's set the record straight, I am not very experienced
at DIY. Therefore as I am moving into a new home I needed
a lot of advice on the products, and accessories I would need
for different jobs like paint stripping, the actual painting
itself and wallpapering. Just the general basics I would assume
is the life blood of any DIY store, my local Focus DIY is
only a few minutes away so decided to nip in for some help
from their staff. Well I walked around the aisles searching
for help from a staff assistant, there was no-one. I had to
wait in the queue at the till to ask for help there, obviously
he was busy and not welcoming of the queries. He used his
microphone thingy and called down help from above, gladly
a female manager came and was actually a great help and definitely
know her stuff. But I didn't appreciate the hassle it took
to get some basic help, and the prices seemed high compared
to the B&Q on the other side of town. I wasn't impressed
by my experience.
