The Egg Credit Card must include some of the best deals around, the package is very competitive whenever you join (the offers vary). When I first joined there was no introdution apr, and their standard apr was very low at just 9.9%. Also the cashback on purchases was 1% or 2% for an Egg partner purchase. I think this is now 0%, but I do not check the fine print of my statements much.

I think new users now get an even better deal, with 0% apr for six month, not just the one month introductory deal I received. And this 0% rate applies to everything, be it purchases or balance transfers. But the catch is the apr has risen to 11.9%. It's still a good rate and very competitive but I am sure if shop around it can be beaten.

With 0% interest for 6 months it's a excellent way for you to clear your debts and consolidating. But you may notice that most credit cards offer this ability.

Overall, this card is good all round. You will find cards like More Than with better cashback rates, or better apr with Marbles. But for an overall package the egg card is one of the best.

It's just a pity you have to pay the money back.
