Reviews User Rating - This merchant is the best, i got a camera for my wife for christmas. I must say that we loved everything about it, from it's ease of use and solid feel. I got this camera in 1999 and it is still doing very well! The zoom makes it very versatile, and it's just a nice little camera. Whats great is the DVD also allows you to copy onto videotapes with ease. For a clear reception I did have to buy a new antenna at your local electronics store to get the best out of it. player in a matter of seconds. For £40 this region-free, pregressive
scan DVD player was excellent value for money. It also included
free delivery to boot. User - N/A User Rating - I had no problems with Comet, but the Sony dvd plaer i got from them was useless. I bought this to replace my 2 and half year old Philips 724 DVD Player. The problem with the player is that it doesn't play most of my DVD+R discs, does not play any MPEG files, is very noisy and I find the display is very sloppy. Stick with philips over Sony. User - Abus User Rating - I recently bought my Samsung 42 inch Flat Panel Plasma TV from this store. I have had this TV for just over a month now and it is amazing. I've had my neighbors and friends to stop over just to watch the footie and movies on it, it really is that good. The DVD's look surreal, and the picture quality of must be way better than that at movie cinemas. I decided to buy a reciever for it because they are now dirt cheap, and managed to gett a 5.1 setup for £300 from Comet. I also have a 3 year warranty, because I have heard plasma tv's can be a little fragile. Overall i loved the service and product i got from Comet. User - A Hunter User Rating - It was a great idea by Comet to create a clearance auction at their site. I today bid on a TOSHIBA 32ZP18P/Q 32" FLAT 100HZ DOLBY DIGITAL 5.1 WIDESCREEN TV which was [Unboxed/used/returned]". The whole process at the comet clearance auctions section was a lot of fun and I managed to win the above tv with a bid of £641, which I felt was a bargain. I know someone who bought this tv a year ago for £1500. The review of this Toshiba tv has said it has a picture and sound rating of A (A - E, A being the best). The whole process was really easy to conduct and even though someone else put in a late bid Comet still give you time to put another bid in. I would only recommend bidding at the Comet clearance auctions at the late minute when the auction is finishing, say 15 minutes from the end. Mainly because this seems to be the time most people bid and you dont want to inflat the price of the product too early. I recommend everyone to use the Comet clearance auctions to save some money and have some fun. Rich, Derbyshire User Rating - Thanks to comet auctions I got two fantastic items for a fraction of the price. My kitchen has never looked so good. I found it easy to log on and bid for these items, and it was fun waiting to find out if you've won the bid. Much better than any auction that I have ever been to. The items I bought were just as seen, and delivery was on a Sunday which was even better. I even got a phone call a few days later to check that I was happy. after 9 days it developed a problem. so on my return to comet, i
was told my warranty was with tom-tom , not comet. I was told i
will have to contact tom tom to get some number from them so comet
could deal with my complaint, after speaking to the store manager
i was told the same. So i went to trading standards for advise,
on my return to comet with my faulty tom-tom. And after telling
them the rules of trading, my item was replaced without question.
