Since changing from Natwest I've had excellent year long
service from Citibank. I was using Natwest online banking,
but then checked out Citibank and all their little plus points
added up to a big advantage over Natwest in my opinion. So
I decided to change banks and have never looked back, with
no regrets. First of all Citibank have decent interest rate
on any current account, you can open up either a dollar or
euro account, the cheque book is a classy affair with a leather
cover, and the credit card has a photo for improved security.
I travel abroad to the US and South East Asia regularly throughout
the year and Citibank do have branches in most major cities
in the countries I visit. It seems the UK is the least convenient
of the all places I've visited for Citibank customers. On
the phone their customer service advisors are accurate, polite,
and knowledgeable. If you are not used to Internet or telephone
banking services then Citibank are not for you. The only disadvantage
is that they are not a UK high street bank network.

Many thanks for Kyle at Canary Wharf who supplied sound easily
understood advice and loads of information. He was very pleasant
and efficient and we very happy with our purchases. Citibank
uses the VISA cash network so every cash machine in the UK
is available and there is no fee. If you don't comfortable
not having a branch network and are telephone and Internet
banking friendly then it's the ideal account to have. I have
had mine for over 2 years and never had a single problem.
