I always use the net for gaining quotes, and they also usually have a 5% or 10% reduction for first buying online. I went with Churchill who seem to have very similar prices and quote system to direct line and a couple of others i've forgotten now. I am now 27, have 6 years no claims and drive a 1.8 Focus, so it was a pretty standard insurance file. Churchill came out a few pounds cheaper than the rest and it seems they love people with over five years of 'no claims'. I have now been with them 2 years now, since I was 25 and have not had a single problem. The renewal has been easy and straight forward by post. My wife is so happy with both our car insurance quotes with Churchill, that I think we will try our home contents insurance with them next year sometime. When the renewal letter comes I always still check my recent quote for car insurance for this year 2006-2007 with other companies online as well, again the Churchill quote was well within the other quotes I received. I think the most attractive factors of Churchill are of course the cheap quotes, a courtesy car as standard and the quick service I received online. It sure beats the hell out of phoning around all these companies and speaking with someone from the Far East on a dodgy line.
