They are a renowned brand for tailored shirts, if you have
never visited their high street shops their main store is
located off Piccadilly on Jermyn Street. This is the location
of many of London's top tailors, which I guess Charles Tyrwhitt
is a member of. Unlike many of the other tailor's Charles
Tyrwhitt do not seem such a stuffy brand, which is shown by
their forward thinking nature of releasing a mail order service
alongside a stylish website.
I've only visited CT a couple of times while on business
in London, both times a purchased a few shirts. You can tell
the company prides themselves on the quality of their shirts,
and their customer service was to match. Of course with a
company with a location like their's nothing is cheap, even
with a discount period I was paying £50 a shirt. The
shirts do come packaged in boxes, with tissue wrapped packaging.
What you need to remember it that the quality is second to
none, and in the longrun you will probably save money compared
to buying 2 shirts for £25. My sister who is a real
fussy dresser also said she was hugely impressed by the shirts.
Later my wife bought a shirt from CT for a birthday present,
she did so knowing how much I liked my CT shirts. The huge
bonus she said was the fact the shirt also came with a free
silk tie (worth £30).
After browsing their website it seems they have plenty of
great offers, like 4 for 3 offers. This is how I will be buying
any more purchases from CT.
I also read they have new stores in Paris and New York; so
if you ever visit these cities you can find details on their
website if you want to visit them. Though it will be probably
be easier to request a catalogue, but if you have ordered
online they will send you one anyway.
The quality of their goods is excellent.
