Capital One Platinum Credit Card
I first started using Capital One as my major credit card
after my finances suffered an unexpected crash a couple of
years ages. My business suffered heavily after all the 9/11
terrorist attack travel problems in the American market. After
all my other providers shunned me I was over the moon to be
issued with a Capital One Mastercard account. At the time
this was a massive relief, and slowly it started my businesses
recovery. Slowly the travel business picked up, and the American
market slowly started to travel abroad a little more. To begin
with my credit was low at around £250, but now they
have increased it to a sizable amount. The only problem I've
suffered is from the customer service. When I first signed
up I was always connected to UK personal, now I seem to receive
calls from people in the Far East. They are not very well
versed in English, and it's not ideal to discuss important
financial issues with someone who I can barely understand.
The final straw with Mastercard was when my account was charged
an extra £2.50 a month interest charge. This resulted
in me closing my Platinum Mastercard account. But as CapitaI
One had helped me so much I stuck with them and applied for
a Platinum VISA card. It has an excellent credit limit, and
have so far received no disconcerting telephone calls concerning
unexplained interest charges. Over the past 4-5 years as a
customer Capital One seems to be a fast growing credit card
supplier, apart from the customer service I've be very satisfied.
