Product - Baxi boiler and central heating
I have had a service agreement with British Gas for many years
which includes a service of our Baxi once a year. They never contact
me about the service, I always have to ring them to make an appointment,
and I get the impression if I did not contact them I would never
get it serviced.
I made an appointment for a service engineer to call today (18
November 2005) between 9am and 1pm. My husband has taken the morning
off from work and it is now 3.49pm and the engineer still has not
shown.
We have tried several times to contact British Gas during the day
and it takes a very, very long time holding on the phone to get
through to anyone. As they have an automated system, you go around
in circles trying to speak to somebody and all the time your phone
is being charged. Heaven knows what would happen if my heating system
did break down, it would be a nightmare trying to get in contact
with someone.
I wish I knew of a reliable firm who could service my heating system
and be available for call outs if necessary. A firm that when you
call them you get to speak to an actual PERSON who can advise and
help you. I would love to leave British Gas if I could find such
a firm. I have no faith in them whatsoever.
