Boden sell their owned branded clothing (they are not a reseller of other manufacturer). The website also features a sales section, and at certain times of the year they have end of the season sales. I think most people will have heard of Boden because of their quality catalogue, rather than through their online presense.
Just by browsing their site and catalogue you can see the cut of their clothes, with fabrics, the cut and attention to detail, the vibrant colours and prints. Their designs remind me of the Gap, it has the same fashionable casual look, without being uber trendy and cutting edge. They are the type of classic design that you can wear year in, and year out. To be honest I can imagine kids will be wanting something more jazzy, but for a mature lady I think they are Ideal.
The only hitch is the price, for what you get I think they are far too expensive. Their trousers and skirts can easily set you back £60-80. I also noticed while reading their small print that they do not offer free returns for short fittings. This is a must for a company that sells it's clothes via a catalogue and website. If your being clever wait for their special offers when they sometimes include the shipping for free, maybe this will off-set the cost if you need to return the item.
Overall I think their clothes are priced maybe 10-20% higher than they should be, that's why buying at sales time is such a good idea. But you will soon see how fab the tailoring, and how beautiful some of their knitwear is if you purchase anything, I particularly like the colours.
